Cellulearn

 Cellulearn

Purpose: Cellulearn is an educational interactive didactic where the user explores a 3D model of a eukaryotic cell in order to learn how to identify the different components and organelles within the cell.  The user can manipulate the opacity of each cell component.  When an organelle is clicked, and information box containing its function, location, and electron microscopy images appear.

Learning Goals:

1. Be able to identify the following organelles and cell components: cytoplasm, cell membrane, nucleus, chromatin, ribosomes, mitochondria, rough ER, smooth ER, Golgi apparatus, vacuole, and lysosomes.

2. Know the function and location of each organelle/cell component.

Audience: Undergraduate students
